Just a bit of background about myself – and what I can do for you and your home.

My wife Judy and I have lived in Waxhaw for 26 years now. In 1990 we acquired two turn-of-the-century homes that Hurricane Hugo had clobbered – after 32 years of neglect! I knew nothing – zip, zero, nada – about tools or fixing anything, and our $7,000 equity was gone so fast it left my head spinning. So I rolled up my sleeves (after our marriage was rescued), and the learning commenced. So I’m “self-taught” you might say, and we’ve been hard at work on them ever since. Here’s the original moving-in day photo, and a recent photo of our residence after the completion of a sunroom on the back. Yes, it’s old – with plenty of add-ons, warts and lumpy floors. But we’ve been on the local historic Tour of Homes a few times, with lots of ooo’s and aaah’s. It’s truly a great feeling.

Then we took on another challenge in 2002 with this neglected treasure next door. (Notice the front porch sinking into the ground). After about 8 months it looked like this:

Amazing what a coat of paint, a new roof, wraparound porch, shutters and lots of TLC (and a boatload of caulk) can do!   Speaking of transformation, you should know what makes me tick. It’s my relationship with Jesus Christ, the one who transformed me. He’s been at work (interior remodeling) for quite a while, so that in all I do, I hope to be a credit to Him as I serve my customers.
